Carolina Fitness Class Descriptions
Belly Dancing - Learn the fundamentals of belly dancing! Belly Dancing is a Middle Eastern dance in which the dancers makes controlled movements of the hip and abdomen to music. This expressive dance works the abdominals through isolations and elevates the heart rate. Both the children and adult classes are private classes with a fee to the instructor. Boot Camp - This cardio-based class will include athletic and military drills, cardio and strength intervals, and lots of sweat. Burn calories and learn new skills!
Body Attack - THE HIGH-ENERGY SPORTS-INSPIRED CARDIO WORKOUT THAT BUILDS STRENGTH AND STAMINA! This high energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises. Dynamic instructors and powerful music motivate everyone toward their fitness goals - from the weekend athlete to the hardcore competitor!
Body Jam - The cardio workout where you are free to enjoy the sensation of dance. An addictive fusion of the latest dance styles and hottest new sounds puts the emphasis as much on having fun as breaking a sweat! Different dance styles are incorporated into each class, including: hip hop, Latin, salsa, funk, with modern tribal and house styles. Each section includes a rehearsal phase for mastering the moves and a "dance-your-heart-out" performance phase taking the exercise intensity to a peak. Funky instructors teach you to move with attitude through this 55-minute class. So grab a friend, get front and center and get high on the feeling of dance!
Body Pump - Hailed as the fastest way in the universe to get in shape. Body Pump is a strength and endurance class where muscle and music collide! Low on complexity but high in fun, Body Pump as all the benefits of traditional weight training combined with time efficiency and predictability. Every body is successful in Body Pump. Suitable for just about "every body."
Body Vive - A low-impact workout where you choose the intensity! This class is great for all fitness levels and each class emphasizes heart health, functional strength using bands and balls, balance, Yoga/Tai Chi, and core work. The choreography is easy and the music is fun and motivating.
Cycling - A cardiovascular biking class set to motivating music for those who want to improve endurance, performance, and burn calories without the impact or choreography! All levels are welcome and encouraged.
Pilates - Discover the benefits of improved posture, muscle tone, and core training through the Pilates method. Lengthens and strengthens muscles with just a mat. You will feel the difference in just a few classes. The instructor will show modifications for all levels.
Beginner Pilates - This class which will help the participant better understand the fundamentals of Pilates and will show modifications geared towards the beginner as well as progressions.
Yoga - A mind body class incorporating flowing movements with stretching and breathing. The class begins and ends with meditation and relaxation.
Beginner Yoga - A slower moving Yoga class for new participants.
Flow Yoga - Yoga that incorporates more continuous movement sequences and patterns.
